Prometheus International Trailer and Rumor

As far back as the mid 80's there were rumors that Blade Runner took place in the Alien universe. The off planet colonization the Replicants were talking about could be the same as the ones being infected by the Xenomorphs. Recently, this rumor has resurfaced since the prequel to Alien (Prometheus) is coming out soon and, the side-story/prequel to Blade Runner is in production. But according to an article on the Film School Rejects website, the producers of Prometheus and the next Blade Runner are denying the connection: Producers Deny ‘Blade Runner’ Will Be ‘Alien’ Prequel Won't it be cool though?
