Last June (2011), the Curious George & Friends book store at Harvard Square closed its doors what seemed to be for good. The owners could not keep up with the tough economy. After the store's closing, it housed Mottley's Comedy Club but, the owners of the comedy club did not lease the space. This gave an opportunity for a pair of local entrepreneurs, Adam and Jamie Hirsch to buy the store. They plan to release the monkey once again, allowing Curious George to cause as much trouble as he wants! The Curious George & Friends store plans to re-open on April 28, 2012. Hello Youtubes! A friend of mine, Macdaniel Macleod, attended Katsucon in Washington D.C. this weekend (02/17/11-02/19/11) and cosplayed as Chef from South Park. He met up with a Gears of War cosplayer and... I'm not even going to bother explaining. Words does it no justice. Just watch the video: |

The FP Trailer

WHAAAAAAAAAAT???!!!!!!!! This...is... a... real... movie! The FP on IMDB The FP on Ain't It Cool News I guess I didn't expect the unexpected. UPDATE: Brandon Trost, one of the directors, did cinematography for Crank: High Voltage. The other director is Jason Trost, Brandon's brother. He also plays JTro in The FP. They are associated with Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, directors of Crank and Crank: High Voltage. Why is this interesting? Take a look at the way they filmed Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance: THIS is why I want to watch the second Ghost Rider movie. The story can be crap and the movie can be a load of stinky cheese but, I know I will at least have fun and appreciate the filming technique. I am pretty sure that The FP was not meant to be taken seriously. Jason Trost is a big fan of the Dance Dance Revolution games and The FP was actually done as a short movie back in 2007. Prometheus International Trailer and Rumor

| As far back as the mid 80's there were rumors that Blade Runner took place in the Alien universe. The off planet colonization the Replicants were talking about could be the same as the ones being infected by the Xenomorphs. Recently, this rumor has resurfaced since the prequel to Alien (Prometheus) is coming out soon and, the side-story/prequel to Blade Runner is in production. But according to an article on the Film School Rejects website, the producers of Prometheus and the next Blade Runner are denying the connection: Producers Deny ‘Blade Runner’ Will Be ‘Alien’ Prequel Won't it be cool though? What DID Roy Batty experience to inspire the "Tears in rain" soliloquy? "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. [pause] Time to die." Was Bishop a Replicant? Oh right! I almost forgot the point of this post. There is an international trailer for Prometheus with some new footage: by addictomovie |

Doctor Who: Sillysparrowness Built a TARDIS

"Wibbly Wobbly Foldy" Love can be excruciating. Especially love for a Blue Box. For me, it was also Windows Movie Maker Excruciating! Ugh! If Ninja Gaiden on the NES had taught me anything, it's patience and practice. If not for Ryu Hayabusa, I would have destroyed my monitor after the first few edits. I'm definitely convinced on getting a Mac. In any case, let's reflect on what a wise man once sang: “It's all about The Triumph Of Intellect And Romance Over Brute Force And Cynicism” –Craig Ferguson That is why I love Doctor Who so much and, Murray Gold's composition, "I AM The Doctor" conveys this message in a fantastic way. Last but not least, Thank you Sillysparrowness for the inspiration! You can check out her original video in a previous post: Doctor Who: Build Your Own TARDIS Happy Valentine's Day TARDIS! and Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! |

Congrats Paul Pierce!

THE TRUTH! With a three pointer during the beginning of the third quarter against the Charlotte Bobcats at the TD Bank Garden, Paul Pierce surpassed Larry Bird on the Boston Celtics stats as the second all-time leading scorer.I can't find the final all-time score for Paul Pierce yet but, with some quick math... his career points before tonight's game was 21,782. Pierce scored 15 points tonight (02/06/12). So, if my information and math is correct, that totals up to 21,797 career points surpassing Larry Bird's 21,791. In order to make it to the number one spot Pierce would need to beat John Havlicek's 26,395 points. It's not impossible... Oh yeah, the Celtics did play on after Paul Pierce's milestone and were able to win against the Bobcats by 10 points, 94-84. Here's a link to WEEI's article on tonight's game: Green Street » Fast Break: Pierce, Celtics take down Bird, Bobcats |
