Christmas! Happy Christmas? Have a Doctor Who Christmas? I don't know if I should be happy about this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special. This will be Matt Smith's last episode. The 11th Doctor being my favorite, I really don't want to see him go. At the same time, I'm excited to see what Peter Capaldi will bring to the role. The Time of the Doctor will be on BBC America tonight at 9pm EST. Happy Winter Solstice 2013!

Congratulations everyone on making it past Vampire Season once again! After tonight the days will be getting longer again. So, be sure to lock your doors, board your windows, hang those garlic garlands and arm yourselves with stakes. After tonight we should be in the clear. Happy Winter Solstice! Oh yeah, no Apocalypse prediction this year. Once we make it past the longest night of the year, we have something else to look forward to. The Doctor Who 2013 Christmas Special - The Time of the Doctor will be on BBC America at this side of pond. It'll be aired on December 25, 2013 9pm EST. Actually, I'm not looking forward to this year's Christmas Special since Matt Smith's 11th or is it 13th incarnation of the Doctor will be regenerating into the 12th? The 14th? It's so confusing. Peter Capaldi will be the next regeneration. Being a Matt Smith Doctor Who fan, it'll be tough to see him go. Happy Winter Solstice 2012!

Not only was 12/21/2012 marked as the day that the world ends, it is also the day with the longest night in 2012. Is everyone alright? Yes? Well done everyone! Well done for making it past the Apocalypse! We're also halfway out of the dark. The days will be getting longer again. Happy Winter Solstice! My favorite story about the Winter Solstice so far is Doctor Who A Christmas Carol (2012 Christmas Special). Technically it is a Christmas story too but, it does touch upon the Winter Solstice. Winter is coming... The night is dark and full of terrors. But do not fear because the Doctor Who Christmas Special is less than a week away! Doctor Who: Ultimate 50th Anniversary Trailer Well maybe not the 12th Doctor yet but, there are rumors that there will be a regeneration around 2014: From the Sun: MATT SMITH will keep playing Doctor Who until at least 2014 There is an interesting fact about 12/12/2012 though. The next time that the year, month and day will be the same number is in a thousand years. By that time we'll definitely know who the 12th Doctor is and who's to say that he doesn't already exist? Doctor Who and the TARDIS: When World's Collide

When is Doctor Who Series 7 coming? WHEN?! I can't take it any longer! Actually, there was a special viewing of the first episode "Asylum of the Daleks" at the BFI Southbank in the U.K. earlier today or was it yesterday? Damn time difference! In any case, on August 14th, 2012. But when is it going to premier in the U.S.A.?! WHEN?! Wikipedia says that Series 7 will premier in the U.K. in September. But will it premier on BBCA on the same day?! And this year is the 50th Anniversary!!! Stephen Moffat has something really special planned. Actually, the point of this post was to share the fantastic Doctor Mew artwork done by Jenny Parks and an awesome fan edited video: Doctor Who and the TARDIS: When World's Collide. The Summer Olympics are over! The Closing Ceremony happened on August 12th and I missed it. Not to worry, I DVR'ed it and will be watching NBC's crappy coverage when I get a chance. PAX East 2012

PAX East was my first convention for 2012. It was also my first time at PAX East and I was totally overwhelmed. Knowing the MA area well, I thought I was smart enough to be able to get to the Boston Event and Convention Center (BECC) with no problem but I got stuck in traffic at South Station and my car crawled all the way from the Turnpike off ramp to the BECC's alternate parking garage. The alternate garage wasn't too far away from the convention center. It was a 10-15min walk (which was a lot faster than driving in traffic). There were shuttle buses but, being a nice crisp, chilly New England day my group and I decided to walk instead. It was sunny, some wind, a bit nippy... spring was in the air...

"Wibbly Wobbly Foldy" Originally, I didn't want to add a screen shot but, Youtube keeps moving my picture thumbnail forward for some reason and at times, it just disappears entirely. Perhaps, it is the influence of the TARDIS? Love can be excruciating. Especially love for a Blue Box. For me, it was also Windows Movie Maker Excruciating! Ugh! If Ninja Gaiden on the NES had taught me anything, it's patience and practice. If not for Ryu Hayabusa, I would have destroyed my monitor after the first few edits. I'm definitely convinced on getting a Mac. Doctor Who: Night And The Doctor

The Doctor Who 2011 Christmas Special: The Doctor, The Widow And The Wardrobe will be on BBCA, here in states, at 9pm on Christmas Day. That's a couple of hours away! In the meantime BBCA is marathoning Doctor Who episodes on certain time slots. They are showing The End of Time right now. But here on groggybot, I found a video of the Doctor's first and last night with River Song, Doctor Who: Night And The Doctor. This mini-sode is included on the Series 6 blu-ray (DVD) set. The set also includes the excellent Doctor Who: Space and Time mini-sode. UPDATE 12/27/12 Ever since Night and the Doctor was taken down from youtube, it's been tough to find it online. Tudou's version is HD but that's if it'll load. I found Night and the Doctor on Tumblr which is a bit laggy but, it actually loads! Then there's the Dailymotion uploads, which is the best version so far. I wonder why the BBC hasn't posted it on their youtube site?
